Trump reportedly shuns Buhari as he invites Jonathan as Nigeria’s representative at his inauguration

It has emerged that the US-
president-elect, Donald Trump has failed to extend an invitation to President Muhammadu Buhari for his
inauguration, rather, former president Goodluck
Jonathan got an invitation to the ceremony.
This was revealed in a tweet by the former
Director, New Media of People Democratic Party
(PDP), Deji Adeyanju.

Recall that Trump had reportedly ignored to
call President Buhari, who was among the first
world leaders to congratulate him after he
defeated Democratic candidate, Hillary Clinton in
the November 8 elections.
Trump has been making some comments that
has got Nigerian government officials worried
about the nature of relationship that would exist
between the two countries after the exit of
outgoing president Barack Obama.
Meanwhile, President Buhari is taking a few
days off as part of his annual leave and heading
for the UK.
